The Pink room is our 2 year old classroom. Mrs. Amanda, Mrs. Darla Henze and Mrs. Karla Barker are our teachers. We have a wonderful time learning about Jesus and practicing our social skills. We enjoy Bible stories, music, art, dramatic play and sensory experiences each day. Our favorite part of the day is recess! Amanda Wallace- This is my eighth year teaching at Little Friends and tenth year working with preschoolers. My husband John and I have been married for twenty years and are the proud parents of three sons. Cliff is a member of the Army Reserves and is a freshman at the University Of Iowa, while Jarrod is a freshman at Valley Southwoods and Seth is in seventh grade at Stilwell Junior High in West Des Moines. Amanda is a transplanted Southerner living in Iowa since 2000.
Mrs. Darla Henze- This is my 1st year at Little Friends, but I have been a teacher assistant in West Des Moines Schools for 6 years. My husband, Chuck & I have been married 24 years and live in West Des Moines. He works for Kum & Go as their chief pilot. Our son, Joe is in 7th grade at Stilwell Junior High. We love to walk and play with our Shi-Tzu, Rocky, who loves to eat toilet paper and pens! Our family enjoys biking, hiking, playing board games & watching American Pickers! I am a native Iowan from Conrad.
